© Robert Doisneau, 1950, Baiser Passage Versailles, Paris
I watched the documentary “Searching for Sugar Men” a few days ago with my sister from another mister, Joana - a documentary about the incredible artist Sixto Rodriguez. Now so many of his songs echo through my ears, and as I’m sitting here watching this beautiful photograph Vitor posted a few days ago these lines don’t leave my mind:
“The sweetest kiss I ever got, is the one I’ve never tasted.” (from the breathtaking song “Cause”).
If you haven’t seen this documentary yet: GO WATCH IT! The word amazing, a word I use too often, is way to weak for describing such a wonderful piece of art.

“A photographer who made a picture from a splendid moment, an accidental pose of someone or a beautiful scenery, is the finder of a treasure.” (Robert Doisneau - in the Dutch Photomagazine “Foto” April 1983)
Thank you for so many beautiful treasures Mr. Doisneau!
Today would have been his 100th birthday - if you haven’t seen it already, also Google celebrates this day:
