© Robert Capa (aka Endre Ernö Friedmann), 1944, ‘Hemingway in Hospital After a Party’, London
“My favorite fun photo by Bob Capa: his girlfriend ‘Pinky’ and Ernest Hemingway, who was in a London hospital as a result of an all-night party given for him by Capa. I had offered ‘Papa,’ as Capa called him, a safe ride home to the Dorchester, but he took another offer, from a driver who plowed into a water-storage tank, and Papa went through the windshield.” (John G. Morris)
