PHOTO QUIZ #7 / WHO’S THAT LADY - Part II

The first quiz question of last year was “Who’s that lady - Part I”, can you remember? This year I want to continue with the “tradition”, so here’s Part II of the “Who’s that lady” quiz series:

Who’s the famous lady in this vintage negative?

You can send your suggestions to my ask box, leave a comment, or use the contact button in the toolbar at the bottom of my blog.

ATTENTION
Cheating (like: using Image Inversion tools / Universal Access, or Google Image Search) will have fatal consequences: you won’t be able to sleep and can’t look at yourself in the mirror for days.

PHOTO QUIZ #3 / GUESS THE ORIGINAL - Part II

The famous Austrian downbeat & electronic music artists Peter Kruder and Richard Dorfmeister (better known as 'Kruder & Dorfmeister') are going to perform at Pratersauna Vienna today evening.

The cover of their first record, 'G-Stoned' (published on G-Stone Recordings, their own record label, in 1993; © G. Heller / oka lab, Vienna) was a homage to a famous record-cover of the 1960s.

Do you know which record I am talking about?

Here’s a video clip produced by my friend and ‘ex-boss’, Austrian filmmaker & artist Timo Novotny ('Life in Loops'): Sofa Surfers - Sofa Rockers (Kruder & Dorfmeister Remix)

Pavel Maria Smejkal uses historical photos omitting the elements that made them famous to reveal the often banal landscape in which the events took place. The project is called Fatescapes - See more pictures here.

"I’m very sparing with photographing people. Once you insert a person into the work, he or she becomes the protagonist." (John Gossage)
