Afghans have been protesting for a second day at the burning of copies of the Koran at the US airbase in Bagram and in Kabul - at least 10 people have been injured in the protests.

Protesters in Kabul shouted “Death to America!” and threw stones at Camp Phoenix. The main American military base was the focus for protests in Kabul. The US commander in Afghanistan apologised after Korans were “inadvertently” put in an incinerator at Bagram airbase. (more information and pictures here and here)
