Around the world, through space
and time with Burnéd Shoés…
My blog is a platform for interesting and inspiring photography related stuff, e.g. inspiring pictures, videos about photography, exhibitions, photobooks and a lot more.
I’m a 30-something years old photographer and graphic designer, currently located near Vienna, Austria. You can find my own work here:
"My favourite nation: imagination." (Burnéd Shoés)
If you have any questions: feel free to contact me (via email, contact function, or just leave a comment at the bottom of this page).
The Burnéd Shoés logo is designed as an rotational ambigram, an art form I fell in love with when I first saw this wonderful Aerosmith logo.
Travel with me through known and unknown places; discover new photographers; find pictures of World War II, other War & Conflict Photography, Prison Photography, Animals, Famous People, work of a specific time period.
Admire the amazing output of Magnum Photos; check out my Flea Market Finds, the 5 Countries 1 Artist or the Senseless/Nameless Sets; listen to my favourite Music; watch Inspiring Videos or the most Popular Posts.
Read my favourite Quotes and browse for Photobooks, Photomontages & collages, Exhibitions, Black & White / Monochrome or Color Photography in the ever growing Digital Archive.
You can also watch all posts with the Mosaic Viewer or view a random post.
I implemented a category search function at the bottom of the blog to make all this a little bit easier for you. Bon voyage!
Test your photography knowledge and take the Photo Quiz. Good luck!

SOURCES / NAVIGATION
Please respect the artists and don’t delete the photo & source information. Thank you!
The posts are usually labeled in this format:
© <name of photographer>, <date>, <description/title/location>
Clicking the image description will lead you to the original picture source. Text sources are usually linked via read more (or similar) link. Oh, and I’m misusing the copyright symbol as a ‘created by’ symbol - I think you got to live with that.
View other work of the same artist by clicking the photographer’s name.
If any links are missing or not working: please let me know!
